In March 2019, Le Royal participated in the ‘‘Relais pour la Vie’’ race whose proceeds are donated to the Cancer Foundation. An illustration of its involvement in charity work undertaken in the town and Grand-Duchy. For 25 hours, 50 volunteers went into action. Beforehand, as part of the ‘‘Trophées de l’Espoir’’ in which the 375 registered teams also participate, Le Royal organized two fund-raiser breakfasts. Added to which, there was a ‘‘penny for lateness’’ piggy-bank and a donation from the hotel, raising 1,665 euros for the association.

In June 2019, Le Royal undertook to help people with Alzheimer’s disease by covering the registration fees of staff members participating in the ‘‘Pétanque’’ Tournament organized by the Luxembourg-International Lions Club in Belval. 

The hotel is also willing to place its talented staff at the disposal of others. In December 2018, for example, the chef of La Pomme Cannelle, Paul Fourier, participated in the charity dinner at the 5th ‘‘Cook&Share’’ Gala, at the Château du Bois d’Arlon. This 8-course dinner prepared by star-rated chefs is served to 150 guests. The Chef proposed his signature dish: semi-cooked mackerel, ‘‘gold ball’’ turnip, lemon gel, ‘‘shimejii’’ and ‘‘tom kha kaï’’ stock. Over 20,000 euros were raised for the ‘‘HTAP Arthur’’ association (pulmonary arterial hypertension). 

In February 2019,  the ‘‘Télévie’’ dinner in Junglinster also raised funds for the fight against cancer. Alongside other prestigious chefs, Lionel Marchand, the hotel’s pastry chef, prepared 150 portions of his dessert ‘‘La Pomme estragon’’ and gave his Gault & Millau Luxembourg Pastry-chef of the Year 2019 jacket to raise funds at auction.  

Finally, each year, Le Royal offers overnight stays to personalities attending the traditional Red Cross Charity Ball, a new example of the commitment of an Hotel with a big heart.
